In-house Coaching
Well-being at the workplace is related to all aspects of working life, but many organisations often overlook the importance of strengthening the employees’ mental well-being.
As an external in-house coach coming to your workplace on a regular basis, I can help to prevent and remedy stress, absenteeism, and resignations.
I create a confident space in which the employees can talk about private, personal, and work-related problems that they don’t want to discuss with their day-to-day manager or HR.
Job satisfaction in everyday life is the most important factor when it comes to reducing sick leave and retaining employees, but what creates job satisfaction for the individual is difficult to pin down. No one size fits all.
One-on-one coaching can have an incredible impact on job satisfaction, mental health, motivation, and work-life balance.
It can support the individual employee in:
Coaching can be instrumental in finding into the essence of the problem, challenging assumptions that make the individual feel “stuck”, and improving mental well-being at the workplace. It creates high motivation, which again leads to high job satisfaction.
Employee well-being and your organisation’s impact on the world are inextricably linked. You cannot save the world if your employees cannot breathe.
As an in-house coach, I can help with:
As an in-house coach, I come to your workplace. I know the house, your vision and mission, your organisational structure, and what’s working well and less well.
Your employees book time directly with me and decide the topic they want to address during one-on-one coaching sessions.
The topics talked about are always confidential between me and the coachee.
Staff members who could benefit from coaching with me:
It always works best when you have “walked the talk” – and I have. I’ve 17 years of experience working in national and international non-profits and I’ve worked on all levels of an organisation from being an intern to a director and team manager.
I have built up my own company – twice – and built-up work units from scratch. I know the NGO world (and indeed the Geneva bubble). I know how easy it is to forget yourself when there’s so much to care for and so much to do – and how important boundaries and time management is.
I never had any members of my team being burned-out, but I have been on sick leave myself due to burn-out – and I see this as the universe’s gift to me: I know what burnout feels like, the red flags – and how to reverse it and move on.
As an in-house coach, I come to your workplace weekly, every fortnight, or monthly. In addition to my one-on-one in-house coaching service, I might also work with you on team coaching and communications services linked to HR and organisational well-being.
Sessions take place in-person and on location, but in case a staff member wishes to hold the session virtually, then this is also an option.
Before starting to work together, we will have a meeting to talk about your organisation’s challenges, what’s possible, what’s realistic, your expectations, desired outcome, and budget frame. We’ll talk about how to measure impact. And I will propose how we can collaborate.
When we’re official, we’ll find a great way to get me introduced to your staff and familiarise them with this great development opportunity.
We will answer all the “who”, “why”, “how”, and “when” questions and build trust.
I take care of all the practical things and depending on our contract, I come to your domicile weekly, every fortnight, or monthly.
Staff members entitled to coaching will book their appointments directly with me. If it is the first time they meet with me, then we will always have a series of three sessions of 60 minutes, so I can get an insight into their challenges, reality, and dreams.
Hereafter, sessions can be booked when needed and lasting 30, 45, 60, or 75 minutes depending on the topic. It’s the individual staff member deciding the topic they wish to address during a session.
You’ll continuously be kept informed about time consumption. The conversations are in themselves confidential, but more general feedback to the manager may in certain cases be possible.
We will adjust along the way, if necessary, to ensure maximum effect.
We’ll always meet for a follow-up dialogue to talk about the effect, impact, and learnings of the process.
