Under the name “With Nina,” I specialise in organisational and personal development. I am passionate about creating healthier workplaces that are safe(r) for everyone, as I believe this is the key to real impact. Facilitation of people, processes, projects, and transformation is at the heart of everything I do.
The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) is a global women’s peace organisation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. For more than 10 years, I have built up the organisation’s communication and headed their communication team globally – which has given me a deep understanding of team management and what passionate activism looks like.
After moving to Geneva, Switzerland, I started as an independent communications consultant specialised in storytelling and media relations in 2010. My clients counted non-profits, small businesses, and solo entrepreneurs.
As head of media relations at the Danish Association of the Blind (DAB), I was the focal point for all media contact, talking with and pitching journalists daily. I developed innovative over-the-edge campaigns that attracted media attention and, most importantly, got the cause of people with visual impairment on the national agenda.
Effector Communications is a Copenhagen-based PR-agency specialised in health care communications. At Effector, I learned how to work professionally with media relations, to be extremely organised, and to be time efficient.
Personal and collective efficiency have always interested me, so in June 2024, I was certified as a Master Coach under Dorthe Rindbo. The education involved intensive training in methods, tools, and techniques specifically developed to enhance personal efficiency. It provided me with a solid understanding of the psychological aspects of personal efficiency, delving into beliefs and underlying causes of undesired behavior. Additionally, it included access to the latest knowledge and research in areas such as efficiency, neuroscience, and behavioral design.
In May 2023, I was certified as a Professional Agile Team Facilitator. This certification, recognised by the International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile), involved comprehensive education on Agile principles and methods. The program covered facilitating Agile meetings, preparing for complex or conflict-prone discussions, and adopting a solutions-focused approach to team facilitation. The course also addressed accommodating Agile transformations and adapting them to specific contexts.
In August 2022, I was certified as a life and business coach from Manning Inspire, a coaching institute in Denmark holding an ACTP-recognition by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The education included 155 hours of theory, ten hours of mentoring, and over 50 in-between practicing sessions. It also included one module in team coaching.
Carsten Islington is a Danish entertainer and man-about-town. In 2009, I was certified as storyteller from Islington’s The Storytelling Academic after a year-long course in the discipline of storytelling.
